The coach who inspired Nolan Richardson’s “40 Minutes of Hell” philosophy, Don Haskins, has died. UA freshman Ethan Tracy made his Razorback debut memorable leading the men’s golf team to victory while earning medalist honors at the Maryland Intercollegiate in Cambridge, Md., Sunday. The Women’s Soccer team improved to 4-1 on the season after defeating Samford 1-0 in double overtime Sunday.

Postgame Trough

ULM Gameday Trough

The Morning News sits down with Freshman FS Elton Ford. Arkansas has self-reported 2 minor violations in the football program, beyond the Michael Smith’s Textbook violation, to the NCAA since March. Former Member of the Springdale Five, Andrew Norman is transferring back to Arkansas from Tulsa and will join the team as a walk-on. He’ll sit a year and have two years of eligibility remaining. I usually don’t do a lot of recruiting news, but, the hogs have commitments from 2 of ESPN’s top 10 Cornerbacks for this recruiting class.

Former Hog Jason Peters has ended his holdout and has reported to the Buffalo Bills. Darren McFadden says “It’s strictly Raiders and Razorbacks for me!“. One of the Expats will be in attendance for Monday Nights Raiders (D-Mac) Vs. Broncos (Hillis) matchup. He promises a full report.

Away from Football…
The Women’s Basketball Schedule has been Released. A pair of Tennis Hogs grab preseason rankings. Arkansas Volleyball loses a tight one at Georgia Tech. Arkansas Women’s Soccer improves to 3-1 on the season after shutting out Jacksonville St. 4-0. Finally, for the second time in as many seasons, Arkansas Razorback sophomore Catherine White won the 4K race at the Arkansas Dual.

Monday Trough

Also, the last time Louisiana-Monroe opened the season with trips to Auburn and Arkansas (2004) the Warhawks lost in a shutout to Auburn and was blown out the next week by the Hogs. Auburn shut them out again this week…Will history repeat itself?

The Women’s Soccer team defeated Oral Roberts to improve to 2-1 on the season. Finally, Former Hog Brett Goode has made the Packers as a long snapper.
