FTB:What Game? Tailgating was the Main Event at War Memorial

This Week From The Bench…

Let’s start where the day began. After dire warnings that the War Memorial Golf Course would be a mud pit for the Razorback football game, the predictions did not come to fruition after a deluge from the hurricane-turned-tropical-depression that parked itself over Arkansas. Saturday turned out to be a perfect day for college football and tailgating. Games in Little Rock in early September often turn into a sweating mess, but the temperature for this one was just right.

Postgame Trough

Alex Tejada had a bad game. Jim Harris of AS360 says enjoy this win…they’re won’t be many more this year. Want to relive the magic of the comeback…I wouldn’t either but if you do here’s 3 live blogs…Official Site, AS360, Slophouse. Finally, the Razorbloggers have their roundup posted (it’s continuously updated).

Oh yeah, the Women’s Volleyball team lost to #25 Michigan.

P.S. Arkansas St. showed that last weeks win over Texas A&M wasn’t a fluke with a 83-10 stomping of Texas Southern.

Alex Tejada Battles For Kicking Duties

From Whole Hog Sports..

Former Springdale High kicker Alex Tejada kicked his way to a full-ride scholarship at Arkansas. But the Hogs aren’t ready to just hand over the placekicking keys just yet.

Tejada will battle Brian Vavra for the kickoff chores and will wrangle with Jeremy Davis for point-after and field-goal duty. And that fight isn’t likely to end anytime soon.
