This Week From The Bench…
The hypocrisy kicks in when people look back just four years almost to the day when (Falcon’s Owner Arthur) Blank dismissed NFL coaching legend Dan Reeves, then head coach of the Falcons, with almost the same amount of games left in the season. So the owner can fire a coach with three games left, but the coach can’t quit with three games left?
I’ve got a lot happening in my personal life over the next few days and I’ll be unable to post till probably some time late next week. Maybe Earlier. Until then check out the links on the side bar and I’ll catch you on the flip side. Go Hogs!
Razorbloggers has all the relevant links.

AS360: What They’re Saying
I won’t believe it till he signs on the dotted line but reports have surfaced that Atlanta Falcons Head Coach Bobby Petrino has resigned his position with the Falcons and will be introduced as the Razorback Head Coach at a 2 pm Press Conference tomorrow.
This Week From The Bench, Robert Shields covers Chuck Neinas and the Heisman Debacle…
To help this search, the UA has apparently hired a consultant named Chuck Neinas. You may remember the name of this hired goon from the last time he was in Arkansas when he angered and insulted many Razorback fans when comparing the Razorback Program to Rutgers as one of the arguments for moving all games to Fayetteville in the Great Stadium Debate. This Neinas guy is bad news, and a sure sign the hiring process is headed in the wrong direction.
Darren McFadden Finished 2nd in the Heisman Voting for the 2nd straight year. McFadden was only the second player in college football history to gain that distinction. North Carolina running back Charlie Justice was a runner-up in 1947 and 1948. This year, Florida’s Tim Tebow took home the award. Tebow had 1957 points to McFadden’s 1703. Tebow became the first Sophomore to win the trophy. McFadden had the highest percentage of votes ever for a runner-up at 31 percent of votes.

Darren McFadden won the Doak Walker award as the nations top Running Back for the 2nd straight year. Only Texas’ Ricky Williams had won the award twice before tonight. McFadden also was named the Walter Camp player of the year.
The other Walter Camp finalists were Missouri’s Chase Daniel, Oregon’s Dennis Dixon, Boston College’s Matt Ryan and Florida’s Tim Tebow. McFadden was also a finalist for the Walter Camp Award last season as a sophomore.
McFadden is the first player from the SEC to win the award since Florida’s Danny Wuerfful was selected 1996 as the nation’s top player.
The Rimington Trophy is given annually to the nation’s most outstanding center in college football.
This is a tremendous eye opener for me especially when I look at the history of the trophy and the distinguished lists of winners. It is an honor to be mentioned in the same circle and even bigger honor to receive the trophy”, said Jonathan Luigs.
So, Grobe isn’t coming. I think we’ll end up hiring Big Bird before this is all over.
