Beverley Leads USA in Win Over Argentina

I’ve been burying these Under 19 World Championship updates in the trough but Patrick Beverley has led this team from the beginning and scored 20 points to lead all scorers in a win in the Quarterfinals over Argentina 112-86. Team USA will face France in a rematch in the Semi-Finals. The US beat France 87-82 on Wednesday, in a game where Beverley scored 15.

Hog Beverley Hits Big Basket For Team USA

The 2007 USA Basketball U 19 World Championship Team (3-0) is undefeated coming out of preliminary pool play after eeking out win over host team Serbia.

From Whole Hog Sports:

With time running off the shot clock, Arkansas rising sophomore Patrick Beverley had no choice but to put up a basket and his floater beat the 24-second buzzer, essentially putting the nail in the coffin with only 10. 1 ticks remaining. Serbia attempted a three, but Beverley, who scored 11 points, was there for the board to seal the win.
