RB Michael Smith Suspended After Arrest

Arkansas Running Back Michael Smith was suspended Sunday after being arrested for allegedly using a stolen credit card to make a purchase of over $100. Smith was booked into the Washington County Jail after he was arrested at 2 p.m. Sunday on two felony charges of forgery and theft by receiving.

An officer with the Fayetteville Police Department told the Morning News that Smith, 20, would spend Sunday night in jail and could be released pending a bond hearing Monday morning.

McFadden to Take-On New Role?

Arkansas Coaches told the media on Monday that the team would be implimenting a two returner system for punt returns and that Darren McFadden was being looked at, along with Fullback Peyton Hillis, tailbacks Felix Jones and Michael Smith, flanker Reggie Fish and cornerback Jerell Norton.

Do More Plays = Better Results?

When the Razorbacks take the field this season they will have time on their side. At least that what Houston Nutt believes since the NCAA rolled back last years clock management rules. This will give each team an additional 15 plays approximately. Nutt would like to use the additional plays to get Peyton Hillis and Michael Smith some more touches. Harry King looks at what the additional plays mean in regards to wins and losses.
