From Whole Hog Sports:
A magnetic resonance imaging on Arkansas’ star receiver’s right knee Friday morning didn’t show any tears in his cartilage or ligaments.
“I feel a lot better today after what the doctors told me,” Arkansas Coach Houston Nutt said. “Again, we’ll have to wait and see, and hopefully there’s nothing torn.”
Although the swelling still has to go down, Monk, a preseason first-team All-SEC choice, has not had to have arthroscopic surgery on the knee, a procedure that would likely keep him out at least a couple of weeks.
“Hopefully we can stay away from [an arthroscopy ],” Nutt said. “Right now nothing’s torn, or nothing showed up.”
