As most of you probably know, former Arkansas QB and current Jacksonville Jaguar Wide Receiver Matt Jones was arrested on a count of Felony possession of a controlled substance (Cocaine) this Morning. Not as widely mentioned is that he was arrested with former Hog tight end Jared Hicks. The Razorbloggers/Slophouse/TMN’s Hog Blog have it covered. [...]

The Trough

I’ve been killer busy at work and since there hasn’t been much happening, this blog tends to fall to the wayside. But here are a few stories I’ve looked at the past week or so…
Razorbloggers:Razorbits (the boys throwing to Felix). Felix gets his rookie card. Matt Jones on the hot seat and Brett Goode is [...]

The 6 year 60 Million Dollar Trough

If you read the title of this post you probably have a good idea the terms that Darren McFadden and his agent came to with the Oakland Raiders late Thursday Night. Sources close to McFadden told SI that he is slated to receive more than $26 million in guaranteed money — a 40-percent hike compared [...]

Monday Trough

Well uninspired is the word most would use for the final regular season SEC series for the Diamond Hogs. They lost the series 2 games to 1 and finished the conference season 1/2 game out of 8th place in the final SEC standings…and out of the SEC tournament. The Finals from the weekend set are…

Some Former Hogs are having a big impact on the NBA Playoffs. Although they were eliminated Tuesday, Former Hog Joe Johnson and the Atlanta Hawks gave the Boston Celtics all they could handle. FTB:Success of Petrino’s Offense Depends on Mallet

This Week From the Bench…
Funny how things turned out. Just two years removed from the Hogs having the Parade/Gatorade/USA Today Player of the Year high school quarterback who now resides at USC, the Hogs end up with Michigan’s quarterback who may be even better. The Hogs do not get Mallet if Mitch Mustain is still [...]

FTB:The John Pelphrey Report Card

This week from the bench…
I typically hand out report cards every year for the University of Arkansas basketball and football coaches. My report cards for the previous football coach were so bad over a period of five years that they got him fired. Since football and basketball coaches have been fired of late, there has [...]
